New file system

High Sierra will use Apple File System (APFS) as a new default file system instead of HFS+. This new file system has lots of improvements including to instantly duplicate a very large amount of data.

High Sierra now support H.265, which is an much improve version of the H.264 Codec with up to 40% high compression level.

Metal 2

The new OS has a new graphics API called Metal 2 that’s some 10 times faster in draw call through put. This means gaming will be much better.
